School Curriculum

Curriculum

Ying Wa College offers a flexible and diverse curriculum designed to provide students with a strong foundation across eight Key Learning Areas, fostering both academic excellence and a motivating learning environment.

Junior Forms ( S.1 – S.3 ):

Students follow a balanced curriculum covering languages, mathematics, science, personal/social & humanities, physical education, arts, and technology.

Senior Forms ( S.4 – S.6 ):

HKDSE Curriculum:

For the HKDSE curriculum, students choose two to three elective subjects alongside the four core subjects (Chinese, English, Mathematics, and Citizenship & Social Development). They may also opt for extended math modules (M1 – Calculus & Statistics or M2 – Algebra & Calculus).

International Curriculum:

Ying Wa offers an international A-Level (IAL) alongside the HKDSE. From S.4, students can join a hybrid class combining HKDSE and IGCSE content, preparing them for IGCSE exams in subjects such as Cambridge First Language Chinese, Edexcel English as a Second Language, Edexcel Mathematics (Spec B), Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. In S.5–S.6, they progress to Pearson Edexcel International Advanced Levels (IAL), with options to take A/AS-level examinations in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Further Mathematics—broadening their global university opportunities.

This dual-curriculum approach ensures flexibility and prepares students for diverse academic and career aspirations.
